How do I log into my CMC Markets account?
Once we've confirmed that your account is open, and after you’ve verified your email address, you can log in to your account via our website. To log in, be sure to use your registered email address and password.
How can I attach a stop-loss or take-profit order to an existing position using the mobile app?
Log in to the app, select ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen to bring up your open positions, then select the trade to which you would like to attach a stop-loss or take-profit order. Then select ‘Stop Loss’ or ‘Take Profit’ and enter your desired level. When you’re ready, tap ‘Modify’ to save your changes.
How can I apply a guaranteed stop-loss order to my trade?
Within the deal ticket, select 'Stop Loss', then select the arrow below 'Regular' on the right-hand side of the deal ticket, select 'Guaranteed Stop Loss Order' (GSLO), and enter your stop-loss amount.
Please note that GSLOs must be placed at a minimum distance away from the current market price, and that the extra security of GSLOs carries a small premium. The premium cost is refunded if the GSLO isn't triggered. Details of the GSLO minimum distance and premium can be found in the 'Product Overview' of the relevant instrument.
How can I partially close trades on the mobile app?
Select ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen to bring up your open positions, then select the red cross next to the trade that you wish to close or partially close. You can then close or reduce the size of your position. When you've amended your trade, tap 'Confirm'. Your trade will then be closed, or partially closed, based on the information you entered. If you partially close a trade, you'll see the remaining part of the trade in the positions window.
Can I view the platform over more than one monitor?
Yes. Log in to the trading platform from your desktop computer and drag the edge of your browser window to expand the platform over multiple screens.
How do I add technical indicators to a chart from my PC?
First, select the name of the instrument you wish to trade. This will open a chart showing the instrument's recent price movements. Select the 'Technicals' tab at the bottom of the chart window (you may need to expand the window to see the tab). Then choose the technical indicator that you’d like to add to the chart.
Where can I find the Countdowns product on the trading platform and mobile app?
Countdowns are available to professional clients only. If you’re a professional client, follow these steps to find Countdowns:
From a PC: Log in to the trading platform, go to ‘Products’ and select the product library. Then select the clock icon located on the left-hand side of the question mark.
From a mobile device: Open the app and log in, select the 'More' button (look for the three dots or lines), and tap on Countdowns.
How can I set loss limits for Countdowns? (for professional clients only)
Countdowns are available to professional clients only. If you're a professional client, you can access loss limits via 'Settings' from the top navigation menu, and then 'Account Settings'. Loss limits allow you to set the maximum amount you are willing to lose on Countdowns per day, week and month.
